- I just recently failed in my math class. I tried to find many ways to study and to prepare for the exam, yet none of the ways that I prepared seemed to be successful.
- I learned that there must be other ways that I can be successful in studying for math. I also learned not to wait until the last minute and to ask questions when I do not know something.
- Failure is extremely hard for me. I feel that I put in so much work into something and for it not to work out, is very devastating. I do not usually handle failure very well and have a hard time accepting failure. This class has helped me with my perspective on failure. I am now more likely to take a risk, but I still have a little fear of failure.

Celebrating Failure

I can completely relate to this! I recently had a statistics exam, in which I put a lot of time into studying and expected to do fairly well. Nope. It truly is devastating as you said. It is normal to still have some fear of failure, I know I do. You can turn that fear into motivation, though. Put your full effort and more into a business and reduce that risk of failure, therefore, reduce your fear. My biggest problem is related to yours, but is more specifically, time management. I have trouble with those exams, but mostly because I wait until the day of it to study. You did a great job on this blog post! If you get a chance, come learn about my failures at http://innovationnation101.blogspot.com/2016/04/celebrating-failure.html
ReplyDeleteHi Max, I dropped a finance class last semester so I completely understand how you feel. For math classes we need to practice endlessly in order to get a good grade. Failure is hard for me too, but I think we can use our failure as inspiration to do better next time. It can also be a learning experience, because now we know what to do to get a good grade.
