CleanLine has a simple solution: to cure the problem of stinky, wet, or inconvenient shower shoes at the gym or college dorm. The opportunity spurs from cases of gym-goers or college students who contract athlete's foot or spread various fungal diseases or who have nowhere to put their wet shoes after they are on their way to work from the gym. The solution lies in an eco-friendly, biodegradable barrier between the foot and the dirty floor.
I really think you are on to something here. As a gym rat myself, I am able to understand the need for a product such as CleanLine. Your product completely eliminates the need for pesky shower shoes. One concern I have, though, is that people's feet will now be exposed directly to the floor of a public shower which they may not be able to overcome the mental object of that task. Even though your product prevents them from whatever bacteria that may be residing on the floor of their shower, I am not sure if they would feel comfortable making direct contact. How do you plan on helping them get over this fear factor? I think your pitch was well presented and I like how you used the Shark Tank platform. I look forward to seeing the evolution of your product. If you can, I would love some feedback on my idea as well. Check out my pitch if you have some spare time. Good luck!
Hi Max, This is a very interesting idea. While your target market is certainly gyms, you may want to also market to campgrounds and camping suppliers as well. The public showers in campgrounds are not the sort of place I want to place my bare feet and your product would be a great solution for someone like me who doesn't wear flip flops regularly and always forgets them when camping.
